For some reason, I am just not happy with the dynasty I have started and am going to do a new one with Von Jenkins. I don't want to be in the SEC as I am already in a couple online dynasties with Arkansas, Tennessee, and Georgia. I'm thinking Michigan or Penn State in NCAA 12 so that I can import the draft class to Madden 12.

(Fayetteville, AR) We knew it was bad between Jenkins and Arkansas, but at no point did we think it was this bad. Jenkins has cut ties with the university to coach Michigan State. They offered him a 4 year deal worth 30 million. A Michigan State spokesman basically said they were sick and tired of getting kicked around by Michigan, Ohio State and that the Spartans wanted to make a sure splash into the future. "I am pleased with the situation at Michigan State. I have a bit more say in some key areas like scheduling that I didn't have at Arkansas," Jenkins told AP reporters.
(Fayetteville, AR) It has become apparent Von Jenkins is very upset with the University of Arkansas. The university has made personnel moves without Jenkins even knowing about it. "It is very clear that they do not wish to include me in these discussions. This is frustrating that I didn't even have a chance to give my two cents," Von Jenkins tells reporters. Arkansas hired a new defensive coordinator and a few other position coaches some without the help of Von Jenkins.
The Razorbacks completed a second straight perfect season barely beating Mizzou in the SEC title game, 28-21 and blowing out Wisconsin in the national title game for the second straight year. It seemed deja vu, a glitch in the matrix, dare I say.

(Fayetteville,AR) As unexpected as it is, the Oregon head coaching position has become available and the University of Oregon is reportedly contacted Von Jenkins to measure his level of interest. The Ducks would love to have Jenkins as he is a proven winner going 14-0 with the Razorbacks on route to the BCS National Championship.
It is also possible for Georgia firing Mark Richt for the lack of wins and the off-season drama. Other teams that may be fishing for Jenkins could be: Florida, Michigan State, Oklahoma State, and Maryland. Some of these schools have voiced their displeasure with the lack of wins on the football field.
(Honestly, Arkansas dynasty going too fast to keep up with updating the blog and I am thinking of looking for a slightly slower moving dynasty just to keep up with quality updates.)

(Fayetteville,AR) After the remarkable season the Razorbacks had under Von Jenkins, the Hogs give Jenkins a 4 year deal reportedly worth $21.2 million making him the highest paid coach in the SEC. Arkansas AD, Jeff Long, and the administration knew they needed to get Jenkins a new contract quickly when it was confirmed Arizona State was interested and had contacted Jenkins regarding their head coaching vacancy.

(Miami,FL) The Arkansas Razorbacks win their first national title since 1964 and first ever BCS win. The SEC has won seven straight BCS national titles.
Wisconsin got down early in the game which impacted how many rushing attempts they had (14). Arkansas' ability to force turnovers is a major reason they won tonight and all season. You got the feeling throughout the game, the Hogs were better prepared and conditioned for the game. "It's a long time between the SEC title and BCS title game . . . like a month. The guys did get to spend Christmas with their families, but that is about it. We were met every day besides that day for conditioning and mental preparation exercises. It was an awesome experience to win back when I was a player at Arkansas, but it seems a bit sweeter to be on top as a coach," Coach Von Jenkins during the post game news conference. To say this past year for Arkansas has been a roller coaster is an understatement, after defeating Kansas State in the Cotton Bowl, finishing 11-2 and then the firing of Bobby Petrino to the hiring of an unproven head coach in Von Jenkins on April 24.
Tyler Wilson had a perfect game completed all eight of his passes for 20 yards and five touchdowns. The defense forced Wisconsin to make some very poor decisions which led to turnovers.

(Atlanta,GA) These last two weeks have been very long in anticipation for both the Razorbacks and Tigers. Coach Von Jenkins passed time in the evenings showing the players the 2008 Cotton Bowl game where Mizzou embarrassed the Razorbacks. "Every evening, Coach would bring us together and we all watched as Missouri's running back (Tony Temple) ran wild on our school," safety Eric Bennett told CBS Sports. "To say we were pissed would be an understatement," linebacker Alonzo Highsmith shared with ESPN.
Jenkins strategy of showing the 38-7 beating the 2008 Hogs took at the hands of the Mizzou Tigers worked well to motivate. The 2012 Hogs forced James Franklin to throw four interceptions. The Hogs did however have trouble stopping the option as James Franklin took it 47 yards to the house trimming the lead to three, 10-7. Not only was the turnover difference bad for Mizzou (-4), but they were unable to convert a single third down (0-5).
(Picture above: Morgan Linton, 10 yard TD reception) The toss from Tyler Wilson to Linton off of play-action seemed to give Arkansas a HUGE swing of momentum and had Mizzou begging for answers on how to stop the high powered Razorbacks. "This is only one game and today we won. I'm not so sure that we are just that much better than Mizzou," Coach Jenkins told ESPN.

(Fayetteville,AR) The Razorbacks pay back the LSU Tigers from last year's game at Baton Rouge that saw Les Miles' team decimate the Hogs. This was a special game for the players and more importantly the fans, as it was the first time in many years LSU traveled to Fayetteville. The past several years, the Battle for the Golden Boot had been played in Little Rock, AR.
LSU's offense had a total of six first downs in the game which was by far the most performance of the season [12 - vs. Alabama (L) 7-34]. The turnover differential in the three LSU loses: -1 Ole Miss, -2 Alabama, and -3 at Arkansas. Given the magnitude of the game, you expected Tyrann Mathieu to make an impact. We dare say the "Honey Badger" was rather docile and not a factor at all. At the end of the first quarter, Zach Mettenberger threw a gorgeous pass to Russell Shepard in the back of the endzone. Unfortunately, that score would be their last as Arkansas scored 38 unanswered points.
With this win, Arkansas will represent the SEC west in the title game. If, Missouri gets a win today, they will sneak past Georgia and play for an SEC title. Jenkins vs. Crunch, Round 1, FIGHT!
